I’m feeling very inspired at the moment, there are so many beautiful things going on… and this was one that I came across recently that I fell in love with 🙂 This year has really been growing into a strong collective of beautiful projects and ideas, bringing people together ♥

Mandalas are healing tools that can be used in many ways – like this one. The Mandala (Sanskrit for “circle” or “completion”) has a long history and is recognized for its deep spiritual meaning and representation of wholeness. Many people and cultures have vouched for the mandala’s intrinsic meaning. Buddhists, Tibetans, and Hindus have all derived meaning from the mandala and its captivating beauty. Psychoanalyst Carl Jung has called it “a representation of the unconscious self.” The mandala is widely recognised as a meaningful reflection of its creator. Mandala art therapy & healing can be a great source of reflection on one’s soul. Mandalas can be seen all around us, but are not just people-centric. They are larger than life. Mandalas represent life as we know it, but they also represent a larger ecosystem and universe that exceeds our consciousness. [Read full source]

The Human Mandala Project [Website]

“The Human Mandala Project was created to assist in the healing of our planet through resonating geometric forms.

The project began as a way to bring people together to explore collaborative yogic posture as a way to create art. It began very haphazardly after a partner yoga workshop. I was amazed at how our bodies can create such intricate, dynamic shapes. As the process began to take shape, I could begin to see some of the geometries that make up our universe in the shapes that we were creating with our bodies. I started to realize how much of a potential force we could create with such powerful forms and intention.

The project is (for now) a way to make art. But soon, it shall break out of it’s cocoon and burst into life as soothing brand new, perhaps even a way for us to heal ourselves and our planet.”
