About Linda / Tera Kaur

My name is Linda (Tera Kaur is my spiritual name) – Originally half Sudanese and half Spanish, I grew up in a nomad family (as a third culture kid) where health was a key foundation. After many years of travel in my childhood and changes, I made London/UK my home for just over a decade. I now plan to return back to travelling and doing yoga 🙂

I’m currently working as a complementary therapist and meditation teacher – using energy therapies (such as Reiki and Chios Energy Healing).

I LOVE working with people, through the use of energy healing/chakras, colours, creativity and fun!

Another passion is sharing my writing – which is why this website started 🙂

You can learn more about my journey into holistic health here.

2014 has seen some new changes as I return back to my life of travel and deepen my yoga!

After living in 4 different countries and 3 continents – after visiting 22 countries over the years – and being from a mixed cultural/racial/spiritual background, I realise that travel is a HUGE part of who I am.

I miss being on the road, I get itchy feet to hop on a plane and explore new destinations – and there is a whole world of inspiring yogi-holistic adventures waiting… stay tuned for the travel posts on Yoga Travel Tales! 🙂

I will also be offering online courses soon. Free Distant Reiki sessions are now available!

What is “Tera Kaur”?10245279_840704342626024_8081386886342464552_n

This was a name given to me by the 3HO Kundalini Yoga organisation as I embarked on my Kundalini yoga teacher training. Kundalini yoga students and teachers are able to request a spiritual name for their practise.

Tera Kaur means:

“Tera means thine, as when your heart vibrates, Oh God, I am thine.  Kaur is a name that all women receive – the Princess/Lioness of God who walks with grace and strength throughout her life.  Yogi Bhajan taught that every woman has the potential to attain this divine state and encouraged all to manifest it.

Tera Kaur means that you have the potential to totally belong to God, to have God always with you, and to walk gracefully and courageously throughout your life.”

Other meanings: A variant of Terra (Latin) and Theresa (Greek), and the meaning of Tera is “Earth; late Summer”

It felt like such a blessing to be given this and I wanted the energy of this name to be used as my journey through teaching continues – I look forward to sharing with you 🙂
